Durham is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Durham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is a beautiful, well-organized, and meticulously maintained garden that is worth every step. The lily pond is absolutely stunning and was one of the highlights of our visit. Admission is free, and you only pay a few dollars for parking, which is an incredible value. You really canβt beat it! I highly recommend visiting if youβre looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to spend a few hours.

The visit was absolutely worth it. It ended of July, and The koi pond is filled with beautiful lilies in many colors and varieties, making it a truly spectacular sight. The smaller water pots with blooming lotus flowers was beautiful. This place is beautiful any season you go. If you enjoy water gardens, flowers, and a relaxing natural setting, this is definitely a place to visit.

Absolutely gorgeous place from the Asiatic Arboretum to the aspirational food gardens. We really enjoyed our time here. The welcome center was staffed by two very kind ladies who offered us some tips for enjoying our time here. The maps are super helpful for staying on track as you make your way through. The photos donβt do this place any justice - you must go see for yourself. This place is SO worth a visit.

An absolute gem in Durham and easily one of the most beautiful public gardens in the country. There are miles of well-maintained, paved walking paths that make it incredibly accessible for everyone. The historic Terraces are stunning, but don't miss the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants or the peaceful Asiatic Arboretum across the pond. Itβs free to enter, though you do have to pay a few dollars for parking. It can get packed on nice weekends, so try a weekday morning if you want a quieter, more peaceful experience. Highly recommend!

Even though we visited in January and quite chilly, our tour of the gardens was absolutely stunning! Such hidden beauty, much praise to the horticulturist and master gardeners. A job which is challenging but very well done. You are invaluable and the gardens are absolute perfection! Looking forward to visiting during the summer when the floral and fauna are at itβs peak πΊπ±
